Adventuring together in our local wild places

  • Weekly sessions in the outdoors – a Summer season of Mountain Biking and a Winter season of On Foot Adventures
  • We explore a variety of accessible local wild places and have some challenges to help grow our outdoor skills and mind skills
  • Girls only with ordinary and inspiring female leaders

Wild Places

We exist so that...

All young women are connected, confident and inspired

  • We connect with ourselves, others and wild places
  • We develop ourselves through adventure and challenge
  • We grow to know and value who we are

Connecting girls in our local wild places

Interested in getting involved in our next intake? We look forward to connecting with year 7-13 girls from Central Otago and exploring our local wild places together. We have a winter On Foot season and a summer Mountain Bike season. Please register here and we will be in touch by email.

Our Supporters

Generous support from our major funders and local businesses is the reason Journeys is reaching hundreds of Central Otago girls and women

Interested in becoming a Journeys instructor?

Love getting into the outdoors and connecting with young people? You don’t need to have any qualifications, high levels of expertise or oodles of experience. We will train you with mountain bike or navigation skills, first aid certificate, connecting with young people, and help you become familiar with our local wild places. We will then support you to adventure safely with our kōhine, and to have heaps of fun!
